Terms of Service

Effective July 5, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Holy Tea, the app and web experience made by Aurenia Group ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Holy Tea, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to create a Holy Tea account. By signing up you confirm the date of birth you provide is accurate. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it.

2. Your account

You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in access secure. Tell us at support@aureniagroup.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

3. What Holy Tea is — and isn't

Holy Tea is an AI Bible reflection app: you converse with AI guides, grounded in scripture, about your life and the people in it. As explained fully in our AI Disclosure, guides are AI, not pastors, counselors, therapists, or medical professionals, and nothing a guide says is professional advice. Scripture shown in the app is always quoted verbatim from public-domain translations, never AI-generated. Holy Tea is non-denominational and takes no doctrinal positions.

If you are in crisis, please reach for real help. In the US, call or text 988, and find someone you trust to be with in person. Holy Tea is not an emergency service.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of what you write: your conversations, your Circle entries, your Grace Drafts, your Living Journeys. You grant us the license needed to store, process, and display that content back to you in order to run the app (including sending relevant excerpts to our AI providers to generate guide replies, as described in our Privacy Policy). We don't sell your content, use it for advertising, or use it to train third-party AI models.

Your Circle contains information about real people who haven't signed up for Holy Tea. You're responsible for only entering information you have the right to share, and for using that information consistently with how the product is designed to be used: to reflect on and pray through your own relationships, not to contact, monitor, or share information about someone without their knowledge.

Don't use Holy Tea to generate, store, or share unlawful, abusive, or harassing content, or to attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or resell the underlying models or corpora (including the scripture datasets) outside the app.

5. Subscriptions & billing

Holy Tea offers a free tier (Seed) and paid tiers (Garden, Harvest) with expanded guides, Circle size, memory, and journeys. Paid subscriptions are billed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us directly:

  • Prices are shown before purchase and may vary by region and store.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
  • Cancel, manage, or view renewal dates in your device's subscription settings. We cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies; we don't process refunds directly.
  • We may change tier features or pricing going forward; changes won't retroactively alter a period you've already paid for.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Holy Tea for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, abuse, or endanger yourself or others;
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, paywalls, or safety routing built into the app;
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or build a competing product from the app's content, prompts, or scripture datasets;
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Termination

You can stop using Holy Tea and delete your account at any time. See Delete your data. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or where required by law. On deletion (by you or by us), your data is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

Holy Tea is provided "as is" and "as available." AI-generated replies may be imperfect, incomplete, or occasionally wrong. Guides are AI, not authorities, and nothing in the app is medical, legal, psychological, or pastoral advice. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aurenia Group will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of Holy Tea. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or $50 if you haven't paid us anything).

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Aurenia Group's place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute not resolved informally will be brought in the courts of competent jurisdiction there.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post changes here and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Holy Tea after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
